    Career Pathway
    A series of connected education and training strategies and support services that enable individuals to secure industry relevant certification and obtain employment within an occupational area and to advance to higher levels of future education and employment in that area.

    The WIDS Career Pathways module helps you document a career pathway using programs, program configurations and courses already developed in your WIDS application.

    Create a Career Pathway

    From the WIDS home screen, select Create New Project.  WIDS opens a dialogue box.  

    • Enter the Project Name (pathway title) and Project Number (optional—if you do not number pathways—leave the field blank).
    • From the Project Type droplist select Pathway.
    •  Select a Subunit for the pathway.
    • The pathway project appears on your home page.   
    • Click on the project title to open it.

    TIP:  Pathways do not have a status.  That means anyone in your organization can view the career pathway. A Developer role is still need to edit the pathway.
