Select Report Filters

WIDS lets you filter the data in your report. By using the filters, you can create reports that show all the information you need. For example, you can create a report that shows only Active projects by subunit that were revised in the last six months. You can then sort the report by Parent Program, Project Title and Revision Date.

Filters and sorting options vary by report.

Enter Report Title and Select Document Type

Enter a report title and document type for your report.  WIDS allows multiple document types for Report Central reports.  Select the document type (PDF, XLS, DOC, etc.) that meets your needs.  Not all reports include the same document types.

Select Data

Select the data you want to show in the report.

  • Use the Show/Hide Options drop-down list to see what data is included by default in the report. You can click to expand the view of a report section. To remove a section or an item from the report, click the checkbox to the left of the item to unmark it.
  • If desired, click Preview to obtain a partial preview of your report to the screen. WIDS displays a partial preview so you can change your options before you submit the report.  You can continue to customize your report by turning on and off options.  Click Preview again to refresh your view.   (Note the report generated in the preview is NOT your report.  It is a partial view of the report.)

 Tip:  You do not need to preview your report.  You can skip this step and go directly to submitting your report for processing! 

Submit

Click Submit to send your report to the report queue for processing. WIDS submits the report for processing. You will be notified (via email and WIDS notification) when your report is ready for viewing.

 Tip:  It may take a few minutes for WIDS to process your report.  If you do not receive the email notification, check your junk folder.

You can locate queued reports in the Organization Documents tab of Report Central, My Org Documents screen, My Report Queue folder.

Moving a Report to Another Screen

Once generated, reports can moved to other screens in the Organization Documents tab.  

  1. Place the screen into edit.
  2. Click on the grid row for the report you want to move.  WIDS highlights the grid row.
  3. Select the green arrow from the tool bar to move the report to another screen or click the word Move to the left of the document title.

Tip:  The green arrow will not show until you have highlighted a report for moving.
