Linked Competency Matrices
WIDS provides tools for you to link competencies to core abilities, general education outcomes, program outcomes, and external standards. Linking allows you to show how the related outcomes are threaded and addressed in the course content.
Select Linked Competency Matrix from the left navigation of the Designer.
- WIDS presents several matrices. Across the top of the matrix are the competencies in the course. Down the left side of the matrix are the related outcomes.
- To link a competency, click in the appropriate check box.
- External Standards includes a drop list. Click the drop list and select the appropriate external standard set. Click the appropriate box to establish the link.
