Article summary

The Pathway Project Management tab is where you can view the project information, history and project users.   Within the management screen you can assign roles and subunits, and delete the pathway.

Assign Subunit

The subunit creates a “home” for the project in the WIDS application.

To assign or change the subunit, click Edit on the screen.

  • Click the plus sign next to a unit to see the subunits within it. Click a subunit to select it.
  • Save your work.

 Assign Roles

You’ll use this screen to manage roles for the pathway.  Since pathways do not have a status, all WIDS users can view a pathway.   To edit the pathway, a user must be assigned a Developer role.  When someone assigns a role to a user, the project appears on the user’s home page. Users can assign roles at their own level or below.

Tip: If you created the pathway, you are assigned the Developer role.

To search and assign users to a role:

  • To find a user already on the system, enter the First Name and/or Last Name in a text box and click Search.
  • Select a role from the drop-down list. You may also select a date for the role to expire.
  • Click the Assign Role button to save your work.
  • Click Close Edit to exit the edit mode.

To remove users from a role:

To remove a user from a project, click Remove to the right of the user's name in the Users and Roles table. You will be asked to confirm your deletion. You can delete all roles by clicking Remove All Roles.

Pathway Deletion

Since Pathways do not have a status, they cannot be expired. They can be deleted from the Pathway Deletion screen in the pathway. Typically, Site Administrators are the only ones with access to the screen.

Once a pathway is deleted, it cannot be brought back.  Consider exporting your pathway documents before deleting the pathway.

To delete the pathway, click Delete Pathway Project.
